Often referred to as a ground cherry, Cape Gooseberries are ornamental edibles. Sweet/tart fruits resembling small tomatoes grow inside papery husks on a 20 inch plant. Edible when ripe (when the fruit is a golden yellow - orange color) the sweet-tart fruits can be snacked on raw, tossed in salads, or made into jams. 
 
Available in 4 inch single plant cups and flats of 18 plants.
